Students in Automotive Diagnostics learn basic automotive knowledge and skills. They earn the Certificate of Proficiency by completing 16 credit hours of automotive core courses. The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), a nationally recognized automotive education organization, certifies the automotive program. The automotive program instructors are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Graduates will possess at least the minimum skills required to enter the workforce as entry-level automotive service technicians.
